Qingdao Chaoda Lettuce Developing Co., Ltd establish in 2002 is a comprehensive co***ny invested jointly with Chaodao Modern Agriculture (Holding) Co., Ltd, specializing in the plantation, processing, sales and export of head lettuce. It is currently the largest enterprise of lettuce plantation in China.
The Co***ny has established six major farm bases in Hebei, Shandong, Hubei, Shanghai, Zhejiang and Fujian, with a total area of over 6,000 Chinese mus. For all these bases with continual land, the Co***ny has signed with the local government the 25-year land lease contracts. The Co***ny is responsible for the unified management, fertilization, seeding, prevention and control and inspection. The unique advantage of latitude and elevation ensures that the Co***ny can provide plant and supply lettuce in different seasons and at different production bases all the year round. In 2006, the actual yield and sales of head lettuce reached 10,000 ton, of which 25% were exported to Singapore, Japan, South Korea and other countries in Southeast Asia
